Certain job tasks require wearing air purifying repsirators. These tasks often are associated with handling of hazardous materials, where there is the potential of exposure to workers via the inhalation exposure pathway. Examples include asbestos, volatile chemicals, infectious substances, and certain biological agents that are repiratory hazards.
