On April 8, 2024, Buffalo, NY will be in the direct path to total solar eclipse and will be one the best places to view the eclipse in the entire country. Local experts expect possibly 1 to 1.5 million visitors to the WNY area to view the total eclipse.
Traffic in the WNY area is expected to be an issue. Students, faculty and staff should be prepared for possible traffic delays if traveling to and from campus, or anywhere in WNY, on Monday, April 8, 2024.
With 1 million visitors to the area, please take precautions and secure your vehicles. Do not leave anything of value unsecured in your vehicle.
It is advised that you have enough water and snacks. Dress according to the weather (sunscreen may be needed).
DO NOT look at the eclipse without proper eye protection.
